Committees

The Pinecrest Cluster Association is looking for individuals who are interested in becoming a volunteer for one (or more) of the many different committees/activities that are currently underway within the cluster.

Whether your interests are gardening, neighborhood security, website development, or community service there is something for everyone!

Landscaping Committee
Do you have ideas about what to plant, when to plant it, and how it should be done? If so, this is your chance. You will get assistance from the association, and you can help oversee our landscaping company to direct them in what we want done. One of the first actions of this committee will be to perform a comprehensive evaluation of all current Pinecrest Cluster gardens and their condition.

Security Committee
Neighborhood watch programs are designed to keep a community of people safe, communicative and on the same page in regards to what is going on with their community. Neighborhood watch programs are effective for a variety of reasons, including risk reduction, crime deterrent, creating familiarity among neighbors and many others. These programs allow members to feel safer, knowing that people are actively watching for criminal activity. They feel safer communicating about concerns and problems, helping them feel more secure in their home.

Communications Committee
The goal is to help disseminate information among residents that can, in turn, make Pinecrest a more closely-knit neighborhood. If you would like to help, or have information you would like to see on this website this is the committee to join! You do not need to have computer skills, only the desire to let people know about happenings in Pinecrest.

Court Representatives
Managing a community of over 200 units is not a one person job. Due to the large size and diversity of the Pinecrest Cluster it would be helpful to have Court Representatives from each street to promote the issues and concerns of its residents. Court representatives would work directly with the board, attend meetings, develop solutions and then communicate this information back to their neighbors.

Help Start a Committee or Club!

To help your community, organize yourself and your neighbors to pitch in on any topic you think is interesting. The board members will help you get started with guidelines, contact information, and even funding if your activity falls within Pinecrest’s responsibilities. Contact the board and they will help you get started. These are some ideas for new committees:

  • Just-for-Fun Events (Picnics, Music, etc.)
  • Book Club
  • Clubs for kids
